How do LaserLite Tx™ laser skin tightening and rejuvenation treatments work to tighten skin?

To understand how these treatments work, it helps to first review how your skin works.The facial skin is made up of three distinct layers:

Epidermis – the visible outer layer on the surface of your skin
Dermis – the collagen rich under layer beneath your visible skin
Subcutaneous Layer – the inner layer consisting of fat and a web of collagen fibers

When the collagen in these three layers breaks down (from sun exposure, genetics, lifestyle, aging, etc.) your wrinkles appear and your skin begins to sag. Treatments that work on just the skin’s surface (creams and lotions) do not do anything to restore the collagen in the layers beneath. As such, more advanced treatments are needed to tighten the skin. With LaserLite Tx™ laser treatments, the skin tightens when collagen beneath the surface is treated. Using our exclusive techniques and equipment, the skin is heated to a specific temperature (measured with infrared).

LaserLite Tx™ safely heats the skin’s dermis and the web of collagen in the subcutaneous layer, causing tightening as well as improved skin tone and texture. The heating of the skin also encourages new collagen growth that typically continues for four to six months following treatment.

When will I see results?

Results with LaserLite Tx™ are more predictable than with radio frequency treatments such as Thermage. Optimal results are usually seen about 3 to 6 months after the fourth treatment, but may be seen as soon as the second treatment. With LaserLite Tx™ clients typically notice tightening of the skin, reduced wrinkles, improvement in elasticity, improvement in skin texture, pore size and skin smoothness. While LaserLite Tx™ is not a substitute for a face lift, it is an alternative to one. Clients who are not ready for invasive surgery or do not desire it often find this treatment to be just what they are looking for.

Are these laser treatments safe?

LaserLite Tx™ skin tightening treatments are considered safe with minimal, if any, downtime. These treatments are considered much safer than invasive cosmetic surgery.
